Frank Howell graduated from Caledonia, MS high school and Mississippi State University with a degree in Civil engineering as a co-operative education student. He co-oped with the U S Coast and Geodetic Survey with work assignments in nine states. He served in the U S Army for three years. After college, he worked in the oil and gas industry with varying levels of responsibility with Exxon Company USA, Sun Gas, and retired as Sr. Vice President of Exploration and Production Hunt Petroleum Corporation in Dallas, TX. He was a Registered Professional Engineer during his oil and gas career. During his oil and gas career, he owned personal and rental houses in different states. Upon retirement, he received a real estate license in Dallas, TX before relocating to his home county in Lowndes County, MS. Since retirement he has developed a successful residential subdivision in Lowndes County and is currently a Broker Associate with Coldwell Banker Frady and Associates in Columbus, MS.
